Chine Collabs Collective co-creators Brian Lathan and Amanda Attarian were accepted into The Luminary’s Futures Fund program which is a regranting initiative organized by The Luminary and supported by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Arts, in order to support innovative artist projects throughout the St. Louis region. The project, titled the Free Press Project, aims to produce fine art print media with local artists in order to create revenue for local organizations, making printmaking and print practice more accessible to our community. The Free Press Project is geared towards artists from all realms with a focused or interdisciplinary practice. Chine Collabs will collaborate with selected artists we feel embody collaboration, equity, and interpersonal experiences. Chine Collabs Collective will provide the labor and printmaking expertise while the Artist provides conceptual imagery/ideas that can be reproduced into a printed form. These produced works will be made available to the public for purchase with proceeds going to a mutually agreed upon organization. Overall, we aim to promote collective collaboration and mutual aid.
As Print Specialist Brian manages, designs and produces the printed ephemera of the Free Press Project.
